i have a 93 vert and my radio doesnt work anymore. i have power to the radio harness but i believe i do not have power from the antenna. when i first installed the new radio i noticed the antenna had to be plugged in for the radio to turn on. anyone ever have this problem before? how did you fix it?

Your headunit isn't grounded. Ground it to a good clean piece of metal. Your antenna was supplying the ground before.
