quick question about your big tach. Did you wire it, if so, where did you hook up your signal wire to it? Did you need a converter to run with it as well.

Thinking of doing a two tone style were the hood, roof, and hatch in the galaxy blue color shift paint. The rest would be a metalic blue. And then doing some of the trim pieces gold. But I don't know. Don't expect to much it will be rattle can. The guy flaked that was going to paint it.

I painted the front half of my car myself with a professional level painting setup and it came out like ass. I've done better with a roller and a can of POR-15.

It's all in the prep. Even a spray bomb paint job will look decent if you give it a good surface to stick to.

this car is not a show car its not even a track car it is a daily. and a learning experience. if it ends up looking like ass I will still be fine with it. just means next time I will try harder. I also keep the car work one the cheap side. I am keeping it running and continuing to add miles to it. I think a car should be enjoyed and driven. and that is what this car is.

So my plan at the moment since mother nature and a couple chipmonks decided I didn't need a nice camaro. Is to take the motor that me and my buddy built for the camaro and drop it into the 240sx. That is after I clean it up and probably get some machine work done to it.

I'm over the camaro a little sad to see it in this condition but the quarter are still rust free and in great shape. The front section is still in great condition too. My plan at the moment is to pull the motor and all my junk out of the car. Then take what is left to the camaro/firebird junk yard about 15 min from my house and see if he will trade for a t5 or t56 and some other parts that I might need. Get the engine torn apart and cleaned up. Maybe get a new top end for it but keep it carburated. Maybe even go dual. Repaint the motor white and work on dropping it into my hatch. Hopefully I will have the funds to do it before I head out on my deployment next year.

so I needed a new dd so that I could put the 240 into the garage for its make over and rebuild. I had some money from my tax return and so I picked up this little thing to fill in.

1989 Mitsubishi mighty max truck

sure it might not look like much but here are the interesting parts

pop up sunroof

what intrigued me the most was what was under the hood.

its a 4g63 out of a 2nd gen talon with a 16g turbo.

has some get up and go to it. but it is going to be my new dd since I am going to make the 240 more of a leisure car/ maybe track

Yes!!! I was going to say when I saw your first picture that those are fun little things that plenty of DSM guys have done 4g swaps on. But nevermind! Thats awesome! Hopefully she holds together alright for you.

If you end up needing 4g63 parts, let me know.

Are you sure it's out of a second gen? Because it has a first gen intake manifold and cam angle sensor.

Not sure at all this is my first dsm and first turbo. Getting my feet wet is part of the fun.

I am looking for a stock fuel pump for it. I am to cheap to get it tuned with the warboro that is in it.

That thing will instantly blow up with a 16g (if it even is, looks like a stock 14b flipped) with a stock fuel pump.

It looks neat, but don't cut corners, or you will have 2 project cars in a hurry...

Where the hell did you find that? I've had a soft spot for those trucks for some time.

Now that I revisit some of the pics I'm not sure where that intake manifold came from as it's a flipped version of a first gen but that is a first gen cam angle sensor.
