| Any recommendation on who to order it through online? What exactly fails on them, there wasn't much play in it?
I was told it wasnt necessary on a new mls head gasket, if i was reusing it i would spray something on it. I know it doesnt hurt to do it, but is it necessary? let me know your stand on it?
when im forced to reuse single layer steel gaskets on pwc's i usually spray them with black spray paint and have never had them leak.

S14 water pump offers a small adavantage over the s13 one. They are interchangable on each motor but go with the s14 pump. I dont use copper spray on metal HG. Just put some RTV around the at the seams of the front timing cover inbetween the Head and block.

| After extensive research and talking with guys that bulid race SRs.....I chose to put Copper Spray on my last rebuild. I did NOT use rtv on front. I have put this car through it paces for the last 3 years, and not had an issue.....But its your call. I recomend www.FRSPORT.com better customer service that Touge. The s14/s15 water pump is supposed to be better, but has one more hole for mounting on the block.....My s13 water pump was brand new 6 years ago and has held up well. The bearing on the water pumps have been prone to going bad, | |

| have you ever heard of the impeller slipping on the inside? my car was running 97c yesterday and when i popped the hood the fans were blowing cold air. the passenger side of the radiator was cold but the driver side was super hot. its not leaking from the pump anywhere. just curious. | |

| Impellers do slip, I've seen it. That may not be your problem though. | |

| they are a lot different. i just put an s14 pump on my car. the s14 has an extra bolt hole but it effects nothing. it fits just fine. the design is much better on the s14 pump. it doesnt cavitate at high rpm like the s13 pump. | |

| its a huge issue on fwd sr20's. thats why they sell millions of under drive pulleys for those. not as many people track rwd cars. prob why we dont hear to much about it. or it might just not be as bad. either way they changed the design for a reason, so i just stick with the s14 pump. | |

| lol i know there vaccuum lines, im trying to figure out where they go on mine. And i see he has them hooked up at the throttle body, but idk where they go from there.
side note, did you just tap your oil block for an aftermarket oil pressure gauge sending unit? I like how it keeps it tucked up close and you dont have to use any other fitting to mount it.

BOV and boost gauge If I remember correct and the oil pressure gauge was on when i got it, If you want i can take some closer pictures of it. Also I called FRsports who i got the water pump from and they said it works fine they cant explain how but it does.
