| I'm not sure how much Kevin gets on here and updates, but here's a quick update. Had some issues with the GodSpeed fuel rail leaking; Decided to just get it moved to storage for Winter and stockpile parts so it can be ready to go by Spring hopefully.
He had the swap done at a local shop so not sure what mount setup they did or how they did wiring...fingers are crossed that it was done the way it should have so we don't have to chase down electrical gremlins.
Over winter he is going to be adding the following;
Engine Management System...MAPECU2/3 most likely
FIC Fuel Rail, SS Lines, Possibly add second pump
1200cc Injectors, Considering switching to e85
New IC Piping and Exhaust (Probably custom setup from ClocksOff)
Still needs to do the 5-lug conversion with 300ZX brake upgrade, finish up suspension, and obviously the bodywork/paint. The transmission will definitely need to be addressed once everything else is done and the car is dynoed and dialed in. The good news is I have found a few guys running low 10s/9s on the W58 in 240s....apparently the lighter weight of the 240 compared to the Supra/SC300 is taking less of a toll on the trans....but regardless it is a weak point and should be addressed once everything else is done. This project has been going on for a few years already and I know Kevin just wants to get it done and actually enjoy driving it. | |
