Thanks i have a couple more i can put up here of the paint. I did it in my garage and it actually came out great! Of course there's a couple flaws here n there but hey i like it and you can't notice unless i point em out to ya ha.

Okay so the redtop, was the first motor. (crap) Then I put in the blacktop and thats my mot recent pic of the motor. More to come this winter

looks like the red top was actually a black top. it has ribs on the head just like your "real" black top

I have a similar setup. Does your car run currently? Your Blacktop swap looks pretty clean.

Yea my cars runnin, good too just need to put in my afc to do some minor tunes with high rpm n idle. And yea the "redtop" turned out to be a black top. Learned that the hard way and thats half the reason i got rid of it, plus a lot of stuff that was included with it was broke so it was a real crappy buy which was a bummer, but good learning experience n made the new swap ten times easier/quicker

I think I read somewhere that some red tops actually came with the ribs. Unless that's some stupid intranet messed-up info?

From 93-99 redtops AND blacktops all have fins. The older models of red tops do not have fins.

yeah my "red top" has ribs but everyone always just calls it a black top so who knows. maybe we have the random exceptions.

the 93 red top was built EXACTLY like the 94-98 black tops according to common knowledge.
