| Hey guys, Im new here and did a post in the introduction section, so now on to the fun stuff. Well the weather finally got a little nice so I started on my project. No heat in the garage so have to rely on the weather lol. To start off, its a 96 se with 140k miles. I bought the car a couple months ago from down by Chicago but the car is originally a Florida car. It is a roller, the body is mint but the paint is ugly as sin (well in my eyes at least). I ordered a 2jz and it already had a R154 on it. Thought that it was a little weird to already have that transmission swapped to it but it checks out. Last weekend I split the motor and transmission to get it on a stand and start the prep work. I purchased a Tech 2 swap kit with aluminum driveshaft which came in a few weeks ago, it looks pretty decent. Also got a stage 4 ACT clutch, lightened flywheel, fmic, U.S water pump, tial bov, timing belt, and other little odds and ends. Waiting on some of the parts to come in. But this weekend I will be stripping the rest of the interior out. The wiring is a mess and im not looking forward to it. In a couple weeks im going to start sanding the whole car down to get rid of that yellow paint lol. My goal is to have the car running and driving in a year or so. High hopes but things never go as planned. Well I hope to talk to you guys soon and get some feedback. Cheers, Brock | |

| Yeah like I said, I bought the car as it sat in the picture, it had a turbo ls1 in it previously, which is why the tires are massive lol. | |

| Depends on the budget, debating on going single turbo and e85 right away so might have to keep the wheels for awhile lol. | |

| For what it's worth, i would stay away from an aftermarket IM for quite a while unless you're doing it for looks, as it's been pretty well proven on JZ stuff that the stock IM is best till about 800+HP
I didn't realize Tech2 was still around crazy. | |

| Oh wow didn't know it flowed that well stock, and yeah they are still around but they are starting to piss me off here lately. Might switch over to chase bays for the rest of the swap stuff. Radiator, power steering stuff, wiring etc. are you running the jdm cams still? Horsepower goal for me is around 650whp on E85 | |

| Nope USDM Cams, got some for free from a friend who had a Supra, you can usually find them for >$100 online most of the time, Beware of the Chasebay's stuff some people have had issues doing the JZ harness in the S-Chassis. Seems more people have better sucess with the wiring specialties and Tweak'd | |

| Oh alright thanks for the heads up. I need the engine harness with a race harness for the chassis. Previous owner deleted the engine bay relay box and pretty much trashed the wiring inside. It's a nightmare. And I suck at wiring lol | |
