| ARGH i didnt really look at my block till today, couple GOOD SIZED scratches in the deck, Which for sure were NOT there before, and also lokks like he took an angle grinder with wire wheel to the deck for some reason beyond me. So i took it over to him and now hes gonna charge me $40 (half what he would usually charge) to deck it. for something that he did!! side note: i put a nice hone job on the cylinders. other than that a waste of a night. | |

| That really sucks. I aboslutely hate letting other people work on my car. There seems to be a lack of respect and appreciation by most when it isn't your own. I do understand that certain projects are unavoidable, hopefully the guy still does a good job anyway. | |

| automotive specialists, AKA Weezy. in oshkosh
dont worry i got it back after being decked, Cleaned it all up AGAIN and in the process of plastigauging the crank a main stud pulled the threads out of the block, no big deal i thought id just heli coil, Tapped off the area around the hole so i wouldnt get shavings in any holes thaat i just cleaned, went to the bin grabbed a 10m coil, to small, grabbed a 12mm, it spun on stud, so i proceeded to drill tap and carefully collect and remove all metal shavings, go to screw stud in, SOB was all wobbly, TURNS OUT that nissan decided to make 11mm studs, WTF NO one uses 11mm shit, grab the handy McMaster car book to check for helicoils or time serts since they have everything known to man in there, NOT A SINGLE 11mm Insert???
so now im on the hunt for a 11x1.5 insert to fit in a hole tapped to 14mm.
(If there was a smilly guy bent over taking it in the rear buy a nissan symbol i would insert that here)

| That one mark doesn't look good going from the cylinder to the water jacket if you plan on using a steel shim head gasket. | |

| Thats what happens when you slide a block across the ground.
That is that guys fault for sure (even though you resolved the issue).
Set the block deck side down cause its the only flat surface, scooted it across a bench or something. Sucks to hear man.
Hope you get it together without too much bother.

Now I gotta find a way to fix those deep holes, unfortunatly i cant even use the kit i bought for the main stud repair. SH!T Repaired hole Bottom end together preparing head install Packing it up
