Nah, just rough country nitro's and lift blocks. You might know, it rides at the very top of the suspension travel with all of this weight reduction. Somewhere around 2300/low 2400's curb weight. Stripped, gutted, deleted, and reduced. It's nuts.

| That exhaust can't be the most ideal for a turbo. But I suppose it looks unsuspecting with the stock look. Although I don't think anyone thinks anything of imports with exhausts on them anyways because of all of the Hondas out there. | |

| That does look funny sitting so high, but kinda cool that all that weight reduction had that big of a difference. | |

| If you saw the car out cruising would you expect it to be as quick as it is? I'm looking for 12's at the strip when all is said and done. I have a Nistune'd ECU and Z32 MAF ready to go in. Waiting on the injectors and some wiring cleanup before I run at the track this summer. Does anyone have any random suggestions for the car based on my build so far? What do you think? Ya er no? | |

Nope, that's what's great about it. - speed_demon wrote:

That doesn't sound unreasonable.

| I was curious so I pulled the top off of the Nistuned ECU and took some pictures. PLMS "Chipped" Nistune realtime tuning setup. Tuned and all ready for me to go. Speed limiter removed, 7800RPM rev limiter. The lower one is my stock unit. Got the Walbro 255 in the mail today too. | |

| I am jealous of the Nistune ECU setup. just curious what did you snag that for? | |

| I paid $190 total for it. The nice thing is that it's set up for a T28 @ 15PSI, STI injectors, and Z32 MAF with track use in mind. Perfect for my car. Def on NRR posted a dyno sheet of an SR with an S15 T28 using this exact tune. Made 294hp. | |

| From all of my research (not personal expierence) that 294 was not at 15PSI maybe 18 cause that T28 runs out of breath at around 300WHP. I could be wrong though this is just what I have found. Either way that is a great price for that setup. And the torque curve from that style turbo is awesome. Should be a really fun setup. Bye-Bye tires! | |

- This same tune was run on my car. It made 300 rwhp on a T28/GT2560R running 15 psi towards redline. Nevermind the curves being off, that's a picture of the printout and the curves kept printing out about 20-30 below where they were on the screen.
Def on NRR. I don't know enough about SR's to say anything either way. This is just what he mentioned in the FS thread. Power numbers really mean little to me. I am more interested in weight and responsiveness, though I have found that the boost bug is addicting.

| Got everything except the fuel pump installed and took the car for a short drive. The car idles like a cammed small block, though it shouldn't be doing that.
I checked for vacuum leaks around the MAF and couldn't find any. I also checked each injector individually and all are working fine, my wiring for the MAF and injectors is spot on as well. The only things I changed were the ECU, MAF, and injectors.
On the way back around the block the engine was stuck running at ~3500 or higher rpm's, and wouldn't drop any except under load. Throttle cable is fine, something else is messed up.
Also found I can hear the turbo still spinning for close to 5 seconds after the car shuts off. Definitely a BB unit..

| sounds like a tune issue. happens all the time with those chipped units. after messing around with different stuff on my old car for a year i just bit the bullet and bought a power fc d-jetro. worth every penny. however i would have bought an AEM EMS if they were around back then. | |

| The NIStune setup is tunable if you have the software and the cable for it. So there is the potential to correct it. | |

| It's likely something to do with the IAC.
I started the car, let it settle into an idle, and pulled the IAC connector and it started idling just fine. Also found my throttle is sticking at certain points.
I can get the car to idle normally by closing the throttle all the way by hand and letting the IAC take over. It also stopped the loping idle today when I fired it up.
Still gets stuck on a high idle if I rev the engine. Going to pull the TB and see if I can't free it up some.

| I adjusted the TB and cable and got the car idling properly again.
Also found a slight vacuum leak before the MAF, which I fixed in a few minutes with the good old torch. Still using the stock intake elbow I heated and stretched to fit. Parts for a proper intake will be coming soon.
I still have a slight hesitation/miss while under constant load. At WOT on the highway the engine ended up just flat out dying. No warning, no stumbling, no hesitation - I just lost power and had to restart the car at highway speeds.
