Anybody know for sure how much the stock S14 fuel tank holds?

I ran my car basically out of fuel yesterday (on purpose) so I could fill with E85. I was only able to fit 13 gallons in. I am reading online the stock tank holds 17 but I am skeptical. I know the fuel pickup isn't ideal with the walbro and sock but there can't be 4 gallons lying in the bottom of the tank can there???

I am going to run a few tanks of E85 through it in an effort to dilute out the pumpgas but if I am leaving 4 gallons at a time in the tank it's going to take awhile.

there could be... the 13 tanks do go alot lower than where the pumps sit, idk for s14's though

When mine is stalling because it's so empty, I can only fit 14 in it.

Jim, do you have a walbro pump in your car too?

s14 have a 14 gallon tank, s13's have a 12 (15 if you use a funnel and dont pay attention to what your doing)

^ that is what I had expected to hear. Do you know from experience? It's important that I know for sure so I can figure out when the amount of gas in my tank vs Ethanol is at an acceptable level to tune.

Why yes I do sir.

The pump pickup isn't ideal, and it could possibly be leaving fuel in the bottom of the tank FYI. I know you wanted more capacity, it wouldn't hurt to pump out the tank with the fuel pump and pull the lid to see how much is still lurking in there.
