Thanks man. I really want to actually get down and redo everything wire wise. But I dare not touch it because it runs awesome and downtime is not an option. If it aint broke, dont fix it mentality for me. Perhaps a winter project when I cant drive it anyways? - s13.240sx wrote:

I thought they did? LOL, just not in the US we get dicked on alot of the good cars. I have had them since I did the wheels. I actually did the wheels for the sole reason of fitting over the calipers. - Flicktitty wrote:

It did great man, 235 WHP/255 WTQ. Roughly 276 HP/300 ft/lbs to the crank. Not bad on a stock T25! - speed_demon wrote:
- The car looks great! I'm glad to hear a chassis this old is still competitive. Just imagine how well your car would do if it were to lose a few hundred pounds like mine.
Yeah dude, it is gratifying as hell to whoop vettes and other way newer cars in my 90's jap scrap. I wish I could lose way more weight, but I like having a mint interior, really sets the car off and unfortunately is really important to me and my mojo. Best i'll be able to do is carbon hood/hatch/lexan window. I am not willing to give up my HVAC or heat either. Some track days are cold as hell in the beginning and end of the season. Not to mention if it rains or has rained, the need for defrost on the window to see the track is a big freakin deal. I needed defrost at Blackhawk Farms lapping day last year and several cars could not go out and race because they had fogging problems. Those cars even had the anti-fog coating on the inside of the windows and they still fogged up...and in reality a hundred pounds means nothing over driving skill. Driving skill will net you 1000% better results. So keep the heat and just get in the seat!

| Ended up doing a couple of things as of late for just the icing on the cake. Switched to AMSoil GL4 specific trans fluid...OMG, what a difference! I was running Mobil 1 because it was free at work, but man that stuff just did not like to work on my particular trans. The AMSoil is a world of difference, completely butter smooth now. I recommend anyone that is looking for a good trans fluid to use it. I also ran Redline MT90 in my last trans, it performed well, but I was looking to change it up and go with something local (WI baby!). My flares are held on by button head allens, and I was almost positive they were galvanized or had some other rust free properties...but I was wrong. They mostly rusted from me washing my damn car, not from the rain! So I painted them and reinstalled them with new nylock nuts, the old nuts even had lock washers on them, but still fell off from vibration (thanks solid mounts!). Before: During: After: Anyways, one less thing to bother me. Also thanks to sleepy on the cooling panels, they fit awesome and were exactly what I was looking for. | |

| Had a good day at the track.
Car went 13.1 @ 104. Stock T25, 15psi (more like 11psi after 4k), 255 MT ET radials (Thanks Evan, car is an animal with those!)
1.9 60', prob could have gotten a 1.8 or even 1.7 but the 2 step was blasting the tires off of the line, making 4-5 psi on the launch at 4k.
Next time, 3k 2 step, less spinnage, moar ET!
I would like to hit 12's on the stock turbo...just to say I did...not bad for an auto-x/road race car, LOL!
Neat factoid. 1/4 mile ET calculator estimates 13.1 @ 104 with my HP and verified race weight. Ha. Relatively accurate for my car at least.

| How much pressure were you running in those tires? They should be aired way down at the track. You're welcome man. I hope I get my car done sometime, I already have my new tires sitting in the garage. | |

17's in the front, 16's in the rear with above mentioned 255 MT ET radials. - 240sxguy wrote:

I started off running 16 psi, then went down 1psi per run roughly until I stopped seeing improvement. 12 psi is where I stopped. - 600sx wrote:

I ran 12 psi as well, I wonder if either A) My burnout wasn't long enough to get sufficient heat in the tires, or B) The rear camber I have is a little too much and affecting the contact pattern/patch of the tires on the track. Especially considering the amount of camber the rear will generate with the weight transfer at launch. Probably a little bit of both. I am going to dial out the rear camber as much as possible, see if I can't zero it out completely...

| True, my rear camber is only -0.3, so that could be the difference. | |
