I live in South Milwaukee (near Oak Creek) and I'm interested as long as it works sir! I removed it from a engine that ran fine with it until the timing chain broke. Send me a PM and I will get you my contact info. I know that I will be working down in that area a few days this week. If that doesn't work we can figure something else out.

| S14 has a longer wheel base. Meaning the door and gaps between the door and wheels are longer. Basically making a ton of extra work when you can find the same ones on the cheap and mount them without any modification. | |

| Alright, everything is going back to the drawing board since today's planned KA swap was met with epic fail lol. Looking into VG30DETT swaps. Done a bit of research (which I posted up on facebook) so we shall see. | |

| i doubt you will be happy with that swap. to much shit not enough power. do a nissan v8 (if youre against LSX swaps) or maybe a vg30et or something. the group c cars ran et engines to over 1000hp on stock block and crank. | |

| 300hp isn't enough power to start with? Lets go over some pros and cons. I did a bit of research last night. Pros: + Technical support can be found in many cities + Lots of aftermarket products (JWT/Stillen, et al.) + VG30DETT was sold in North America (easy to source) + You can walk into any Nissan Parts Center or parts store and order what you need without cross-referencing + 300 bhp in stock form with 5-speed manual; 280 bhp in stock form with 4-speed automatic + Better center of gravity; CG sits in the middle of the car when in the S13. + Easier to work on in a 240sx than a Z32 Cons: - Not a direct plug-in - Subframe, transmission crossmember, downpipes, y-pipe need to be modified/manufactured - Need to remove the engine to access the turbos - Need a custom drive shaft (yeah, the RB and 1J/2J do, as well) - Oil filter relocation kit needed - Oil pan needs customized (Most of these cons have already been addressed since 5 years ago) Especially by certain manufacturers such as Xcessive Manufacturing See: http://www.xcessivemanufacturing.com/ONLINESTORE.html?cid=47&step=4&pid=213 (VG30 to S Chassis Swap Kit ) Also needed will be the VG 5 Speed Shifter (shortened) bracket this is so the stock 240sx center console can be used without adjustments.: http://www.xcessivemanufacturing.com/ONLINESTORE.html?cid=47&step=4&pid=111 | |

| In your pros, Stillen only makes parts to for that motor while its still in the 300zx chassis (i.e. certain parts wont fit because the s13 is much smaller). The after market really isnt as big as your thinking since that motor isnt ideal. Im not trying to tell you what to do with your car. But if i could make a suggestion. The 92-94 nissan pathfinder/truck v8 (vh45de) will blow the vgtt out of the water, N/A with a pair of headers. Plus it will only cost you $400 for a complete motor, another $350 for mounts and drive shaft, and what ever for a z32 5 speed trans/bellhousing. Plus its lighter and you can also go through xccessive like you found to get a complete swap kit. Its a very underestimated motor.
BUT WE ALL NEED TO REMEMBER THAT ITS HIS DOLLAR PAYING FOR THIS CAR, NOT OURS. So please keep us updated on your choice.

| I was also considering that option but I really want a motor with boost. Do they even make any kind of turbo/supercharger kit for that motor?

| When i went to Formula D ATL last year there was a Pro charged vh45, but i didnt get to talk to the owner about it. Nothing really seemed custom in the setup. So im sure its out there. If i remember correctly JWT has turboed or twin screw supercharged one as well. Its been a couple years since ive looked into that swap. If i find the info ill post it for you. | |

| Btw the Pathfinders only had I4s and V6s until 2005 when they started putting the VK56DE in them. Finding a VH might be a bit difficult as they were only put into Infiniti Q45s and the JDM only Nissan President. Also I don't really thing theres a viable aftermarket for the VH... not as much as the VG30DETT. This really concerns me. | |

| the Q45 (Vh45) would be cool. i would imagine if you got it running, you could use a "junkyard" S/c setup off a mustang cobra/Grand prix GTP/etc. onto it. not 100% sure. the 300ZX parts are expensive too which sucks. | |

| While that looks cool thats way more money than I'm willing to spend. Looks like a lot of custom fabrication and the TTVG already has that stuff cut out for me. Idk what you're saying about reliability... The VG30DETT was one of nissan's strongest motors. 10 more hp stock isn't worth going bankrupt over imo. | |

| WORTH a shot man, a JDM VG30DETT isn't hat much money, if you start buying the swap kit stuff. and learning wiring and it seems like just too much you can always sell it. not a life changing event. It would be very cool to se this get done. | |
