i finally got my rb20 runin again but its not firing on cylinder 3 the plug is gasy.. So i changed the coil and checked for spark it does, swapped the plugs around and getting same results gasy plug cylinder 3 any clues????

it has no compression and the rings r good...

SO. theres spark,fuel, rings r good


the bad no compression

did you rebuild the head yourself? that is all that comes to mind. maybe some one else can chime in. im not saying that if you did rebuild the head yourself that you did it wrong or that anyone did something wrong. its just if your not getting compression and rings are fine, and you have fuel on your spark plug then that points to valves not seating to me. just an opinion. good luck man i will still check in.

it weird i was driving the car a couple days ago and the only thing i did was take the intake cam off and replace one lifter and put it back together so i have no clue

was the lifter for cylinder #3? If you had that apart and it was fine before that, then I wouild take it back apart and try to see what is different with cylinder #3 compared to the rest.

i blew air into cylinder 3 with the valves closed postion and i found out my intake valves are leaking so i found the problem in process of tearing it apart
