| ok so i cant find the rims im looking for so , in order to get the car to vinny for the flares i need to get wheels to fill the gap! so im back to 18x1o and 18x9 my question is!
if the flares are 2.25 front and 2.5 rear and the wheel base is 2,525 mm (99.4 in) and theres 25.4mm in an inch i would need 2 inchs to fill the rear and 1.5 to fill the front.
my question is this possible ?
im just going to grab what i can to get the car done and put the subie on the back burner rather spend the 2000 on her car.
and what affordable coilovers could i get that wont chatter the teeth?
front rim 18x9 /spacer ? rear 18x10/spacer ?
coilovers?
thanks for the input ill be doing reaserch in the meanwhile.

| Easy way to see what size spacers you need is to bolt the wheels on and let the car settle (roll the car back and forth and turn the wheel back and forth a little bit). Then with a plumb bob hanging off the center of the flare, measure the distance to the wheel/ tire edge. This will give you a rough estimate on what you need. Add to this measurement to stick out a little, or subtract a little to stay just under the flare. | |

| Flares first, then figure out your wheel/tire combo like 600 said.

I need to get you some money and that shifter back! Let me know when you will be around next. I agree though, doing overs just to fit a 10" wheel on an s14 is pointless unless your goal is a big lip.

| I also should have said to make sure the car is aligned to the specs you're going to use before using my method. | |

| It wouldn't hurt if you've changed suspension components... especially if you want a "proper" spacer measurement with my method. | |

| The Nice thing about the Fortune Auto Coilovers is that you can oreder them to your specs and they will not charge extra for the adjustments. They offer a wide range of spring rates, and they can also adjust the valving so that they are soft for streer or stiff as balls for Drifting. And the price is pretty reasonable for them as well. IMO | |

| and, if you blow any of the corners, its like $100 per corner to get revalved and rebuilt and they have swift springs too | |

| So you don't need to go 11" wide, you just need the right offset, especially on a budget. | |
