turbo surge and white smoke

So I got my sr running
I am wondering the easiest way to stop the surging
And I have a small ammount of white smoking coming from exhuast..
Only when I start off in first...
And when I. Slow down, small amount


Any advice?
I was thinkin I need new turbo?

i had white smoke on decel when my stock twins were going back.... the percision fixed that
way to stop surging... get a new turbo w/ an anti surge housing or see if you can get one for ur turbo

White smoke = Coolant / Water

Black smoke = oil

Blue smoke = gas


so with "white smoke" there is a water/coolant getting into your motor. Liz had a blackish/blue smoke that made it look grayish.


compressor surge is a little harder to pinpoint. but liz has a sort of correct idea. usually it's from a too small of turbo for the engine to compress air into (sometimes why it happens at 1/2 throttle) thats why you can get a anti surge housing on turbos now to get rid of it. But in your case being on a stock turbo, i bet the surge is coming from something else. weather the "fins" are bent/broke/cracked or if there is something restricting the exahust flow or the intake flow. (compressor surge is usually caused by a Fast/Slow/Fast/Slow/etc movement of the turbine wheel) Check into seeing if your wastegate is bad on your sr or even a bad bov i've heard can cause it.

So are you saying head gasket? Bc I had a head gasket gone on my taurus when I was in highschool, its no where near like that... so how else is coolant going there?

there might be a little crack. sucks to say, maybe someone else can chime in.

could be a little crack in the head, could be a bad HG. could be alot of things.

Could be let's not say anything and I sell it and boost my ka...
