Good driving roads in the area Empty
PostSubject: Good driving roads in the area   Good driving roads in the area EmptyWed Aug 17, 2011 9:55 pm

Who knows of some good driving roads in the Wisconsin area?

Doesn't need to be high speed roads or anything like that, Just some cool elevation changes and curvy roads something to take a cruise on some time.
Thought if we could get a few spots listed together it could be fun to make a day out of driving around having some fun
So post up the places that you know.

Usually the "Rustic Roads" In Wisconsin make for some good drives. here is THE SITE for those roads.

This bike site also has some good roads.

1. Snake Road - Lake Geneva, Wisconsin (Curvy 30mph Road)
Lot's of houses and woods. Drive at your own risk last i knew it was a bumpy stretch of road but still fun.

Doesn't look overly impressive on a map but it's a fun 2.5 mile stretch.

2. Hwy 33 - From Portage, Wi West to Cashton,Wi (Towards La Crosse)
I've never been on it, but i have heard people talking about this being a good road through many little towns.

3. Holy Hill Area. There are MULTIPLE good roads in and around the Holy Hill area.
I'm sure there are other members that have been around that area that can admit to some fun roads there.

4. ILLINOIS! Joliet to Peru (Starved Rock)
Never been here have had some friends take this cruise and say it is a blast.

I frequent the ones by Holy Hill often. I have family out that way. The roads are a real blast to drive on, you just need to watch it so you don't round a corner and crash into somone. I have no idea what the cops are like out that way either, haven't had to deal with them. Roads like these are the whole reason for my build. Just pure driving enjoyment.
