^It doesn't take much for most of our cars. And just think, if you had all of the money that you spent on your car/swap you could probably own a used on of these.

I'm halfway to the price of a new one.

240s are junk basically LOL. After owning a couple very nice daily drivers it's very clear that my 240 will never be anything more than a fast shitbox.

E46 M3 MT6, drive one. Not "ZOMG so fast!", but a NICE daily driver with appropriate power.

Makes me sad im sticking so much $ into my glorified shit box, lol! Could have a good chunk of a C5 Z06 or E46 M3 paid off by now.

Don't get me wrong, the 240 is fun but as I get older my priorities and desires have been changing drastically.

Same here, Im 27 and I'm just starting to come around and NOT want to dick with a modified car.

Which is especially ironic considering I am building one at the moment.

We will see how this mild SR turns out, if its a pain in my asshole's I will certainly join the old man club and get a nice comfortable daily driver that I can track/auto-x occasionally.

I am okay with modified to an extent, but my 240 has nothing untouched. Yeah I am a crotchety old fuck, but with age comes wisdom. Still waiting on that one.

For me, it's a shock factor. The exhaust note commands attention, then when people don't see a muscle car or the like, they don't know what to think. That's my favorite part, and a large reason I won't get rid of it til I wrap it around something.

Even though thye are "glorified shitboxes" after we modifiy them, there is still something to be said about the feeling that you get after you install a new part. Especially if it does make a difference wether it be power, handling, or looks. Also speaking for my self the initial investment for my 240 was low. And the fact that I only put the money into it that I can afford as opposed to sticking hundereds of $$$ a month on car payments means something as well. Hooray for glorified shitboxes!
