so i came across a 240sx...

the guy said the car is kinda crusty, nasty paint, minor rust, neeeds new front hubs, has an sr20. wondering if anyone knows the guy or car?
this car is in the green bay area by the way. stock wheels on it now. guy wants 2g for it.

if the motor runs good, it prolly isn't too bad of a deal. and if you pass on it, lmk....for some stupid reason i might be interested.

he said the motor has 45k on it and runs smooth, not sure if i wanna make the 5 hour drive in the big dually to get it lol but in the top right of the pic of the engine bay, doesnt that look like a snarl of wires ? or maybe thats just me.

yeah, the wiring on it looks pretty terrible. also, im not sure what is holding the radiator in place either. the brackets aren't there. drift kid gone wrong. car need saving thats for sure.

Radiator hoses are a perfectly acceptable way to support the rad. And a new harness from wiring specialties is only like $300 so that shouldn't be a huge concern. Just to buy an SR shipped now is like $2000 or more from what i've seen. Sounds like a reasonable deal, ask for a vid of it running, and don't believe the mileage there is absolutely no way for him to verifiy that unless he personally pulled that engine from the original front clip.

harness is 434.00. that was with free shipping since it was a pre order. included the trans harness and they wired in my power fc sub harness.

I stand corrected. The wiring shouldn't be a detering factor, just a bargaining tool for a better deal!

the way the cooling fan is set up will in no way function at all. make sure it hasn't been overheated. it would need a shroud or electric fans to work correctly.

kind of reminds me of a black one that used to be around the elkhorn, delavan area. not very sure about that though.

this car sounds like a bag of dicks, and i'm not into dicks,let alone a large quantity of them, i would pass.

There is a red one in lake Geneva that the guy has been trying to get ride of with an Sr. But that one is absolute garbage the thing has been absolutly destroyed frame rails are shot, the ass end of the car looks line someone folded it under the car. Sounds horrible too.
