| I finally really got into the car today and came to the realization that there is no saving it. The frame is rusted through and the body skin of the car is a lot worse than I thought when I brought her home. HUGE RUST HOLE IN THE FRAME ROCKER PANEL ON DRIVER SIDE ROCKER PANEL A LITTLE FARTHER BACK ON DRIVER SIDE DRIVER SIDE QUARTER PANEL IN TRUNK ON DRIVER SIDE ROCKER PANEL ON PASSENGER SIDE My dream has just died and I don't know what to do. Should I pull the parts that are good and that I can salvage off of it and find a good shell to build or do I say screw the whole thing and take it to a junk yard and let my dream be that just a dream. Parts that I can salvage consist of Konig wheels, the seats, 4 point harnesses, the motor has a misfire in cylinder 3 but I could rebuild it. But would I really want to rebuild a ka24e? I could sell the transmission because it is automatic. Any feedback here will be great. Let me know what you would do and maybe that will help me make my decision. Do I keep these parts and buy a shell and start over? Do I part it out and take what I can get for it? Or do I say screw the whole thing and just junk her? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

| Personally, i would find a new car. there still pretty easy to find.
if nothing else, the car looks fixable if you have some time and cash. i know i've seen alot of 240's get repaired from this bad in the past. but the easiest and honestly i think cheapest idea is to find a new car, but part this thing out you would still make decent money parting it out. | |

| Or should I keep the parts I want and just find another car to put them in and part out the rest? | |

| And if I were to repair the rust how would the frame be fixed? | |

| There is no parts available and there is no way to get them any more. The only way to get those parts is to rip them from another car. The light is fading on this 240....... | |

| I am going to part her out and start over. I don't want to get in over my head on this one and that is where it is leading to at this point. I posted a part out here and on craigslist. If you guys are interested in anything let me know. | |

| Wife wanted the garage back and said if I didn't junk it she would. I figured I have to keep her happy. I did keep the wheels however. I did get $200 for it. I know I could have at least doubled that if I would have been able to part it out but shit happens. This was a dream that turned into a nightmare in like one day. I will find a good 240sx to start again. I just need to wait until I get my big check in February. I will probably try to find one in Arizona, Florida, or Calli fly there and drive it back. Then I can be sure that the car would be rust free. I can deal with sunburn. I don't want to deal with cancer. I am going to look long and hard for the right one to come along. | |

| well wtf!! that was really fast lol. i woulda parted it out.... im actually swapping all of my stuff from one shell to the other (due to body damage, no rust though thank god) but now that its gone i guess you gotta start over... i would def look down south also, thats where both of my 240s that i have now are from, one texas, one south carolina. good luck on your search, ask for detailed pics of a car before you fly out there and get it. | |

| I know what I will be looking for this time around. I lost out and the guy I traded to got the better end of the deal so far. | |
