new to wi240

hey there, thought id finally get on here and keep up with some more local news along with 240sxforums.

I own a black 93 hatch se, bough it for my 18 birthday

started out as:
automatic
drilled slotted rotors
timing chain snapped

so after I bought it, the guy I bought it from had all the new stuff to put it back together as he had already 1/2 torn it apart.

long story short, me and uncle took the rest apart, put it back together with the new chain and tensioners and later found out that motor was junk, fast forward a couple months, bought the rest of the pieces for a 5 speed swap along with a another ka, and a 5 speed trans.

completely ripped out the stock motor, all the automatic krap, and put in the other ka I bought, 5 speed swapped it and finally got that one to run. turned out the guy lied to me, he said the motor was a good runner and had 105k miles. it has a REALLY bad rod knock so im back to square one. still haven't been able to drive it more than 3 miles.

What kind of assclowns are you buying motors from?

lol. idk, I bought the motor from a guy in Watertown. Couldn't tell you his name. I do remember he was putin a rb20 in his 240sx hatch, and if my memory is right a RB something in a Volvo? wagon or something like that cuz he had them both where the motor was.
