| step1. park your car on a flat surface and put something behind your rear tires to keep it from rolling back on you..."dont forget to raise your ebrake"
step2. jack the front end with a jack and stands so you can get underneath it..
step3. find the drain screw and put a bucket under it... "should be on driver side"
step4. drain the coolant from the radiator...
step5. unhook radiator hoses... "just the end that connects to the radiator unless your gonna replace them... its easier to remove the bottom one from underneath the car"
step6. Unbolt upper radiator screws and keep track of the rubber grommets that go on the arms... "you still need them for your new radiator"
step7. remove what ever you have in front of the radiator to make it easier to pull out the radiator... "fan shroud/intake"
step8. remove radiator fan and lower fan shroud...
step9. pull the radiator out and be sure to pull the rubber grommets off the bottom of the old radiator to put them on the new one too...
step10. install new radiator in reverse order....
step11. add coolant until its full... "u can squeeze the upper radiator hose to pump some coolant into the engine"
step12. with the front of the car still jacked up start the car and add coolant through the rad cap hole as the bubbles work their way out of the system... be sure your heater is on full.... this should bleed the air out.... there is also a bleeder screw where the upper radiator hose connect to the engine...
step13. install rad cap and add coolant to the 1/4 mark in the overflow and go for a test drive...
NOTE: MAKE SURE ALL THE HOSES AND THE DRAIN SCREW ARE TIGHT... IF CAR OVER HEATS, BLEED IT AGAIN... IF RADIATOR SMOKES, TAKE A GARDEN HOSES AND SPRAY THE RADIATOR TO GET ALL OF THE COOLANT OFF SO IT DOESN'T BURN AND SMOKE... | |
