Project Kouki Crazy Empty
PostSubject: Project Kouki Crazy   Project Kouki Crazy EmptyThu Oct 18, 2012 6:16 pm

So I just moved to Milwaukee. I stumbled upon this forum while searching Zilvia.net. I have been crazy about cars, and S13's in particular for the past 12 years. I currently have a 92 240sx SE, fully loaded with leather and a blacktop SR20DET. It has been an on going project for a long time now. It's not my daily driver, and I rarely have time to drive it, but sure have fun when I do.

Here are some pics of the project so far:

I then broke down the engine for cleaning and new gaskets. Installed a Megan Racing Turbo Manifold, Circuit Sports Stainless Braided Turbo Lines, New OEM oil pan & Strainer (old one was cracked), New rear main seal, Nismo thermostat, & S14 water neck outlet to make life easier.

Thanks guys, and gal. Yeah, swap is finished and runs great! The current thing I am working on is the body. I have all the Kouki Body pieces, just waiting until next spring to install and paint. Haven't decided on exact color, but thinking some shade of blue.

More pics!

This is after I added the ACT HDSS Clutch, ACT Prolite Flywheel, Megan Racing Motor & Transmounts.

is that the 6 puck clutch? If so then i was running same setup. SOOOOO much holding power. And its a super lite flywheel adding more response. Get anything bigger than the stock t25 and your going to have a blast. Definitely will liven the car up a bunch.

It's actually the NS1-HDSS full face sprung disk. Still holds up to 372 ft/lbs though. But yeah, the 10.5lb ProLite Flywheel is boss. Love it.

I then installed my Greddy LS Spec Front Mount Intercooler, Koyo N Flow Radiator, Circuit Sports Rad Hoses, & Blitz RC.

P.S. My old camera was practically worthless.

LOL, 100% true.

First thing I saw too.

NEED a shroud. Ducting is what cools your engine, otherwise air takes the path of least resistance, which is not through your radiator, its around it.

Really nice car and build, please dont skimp here when you did so well everywhere else.

I fully understand the function of the shroud. I don't have one or I would have installed it. But I have been driving it that way for years and have had ZERO issues with the temp since first start up. So it is not really a concern of mine.

From there I picked up an Autometer Cobalt Series Boost Gauge, and single gauge pod. I'm not really a fan of the tri gauges on the pillar that most people choose. I upgraded the DIS Coils to Spitfire's Super Direct Ignition System, which really did make a noticeable difference as far as smoothing out the performance of the engine throughout the entire RPM range. After that I decided it was time for a new exhaust. I really liked the Apexi N1 Duals that my buddy had on his RB25 and was practically set on ordering one, until Enjuku got the ISIS Dual N1. I picked one up right away and could not have been more happy with it. Very quiet (which was my main concern), half the cost as Apexi N1 Duals, & I certainly could tell it assisted in making the engine much more efficient. Very Happy

i have those coils too. after fighting with stock ones that kept going bad, i just spent the money on them and have enjoyed not having misfires for the last 3 years now.
